Sudan grows watermelon largely for its seeds, a favourite roasted snack across the Middle East. The seeds are cleaned and graded by size and colour.

Shipping & export
A full container is normally ready to load 10 to 15 days after the contract is confirmed. Transit from Port Sudan takes about 2 to 8 weeks, depending on the destination port.
