Overview
Sudanese hibiscus, known locally as karkade, is grown mostly in Kordofan and Darfur and sun-dried after harvest. Its deep red calyces give an intensely coloured, tart infusion rich in vitamin C, and it is among the most sought-after hibiscus in the world.
