Sudanese gum arabic, sourced with care and shipped with confidence
Sudan is the world's largest single producer of gum arabic. Asmagh was built to bring that gum — and the country's other fine crops — to international buyers with the consistency, paperwork and service that modern supply chains expect.
We specialise in the two Sudanese gums, Hashab and Talha, in every commercial grade, and we supply sesame, hibiscus, olibanum, oilseeds, pulses and spices alongside them.

One partner for Sudan's natural riches
Behind every shipment is a team that knows the Sudanese market from the collection points to the port. We choose our sources carefully, clean and grade every lot, and prepare documents that clear customs without surprises.
Whether you need a trial sample or a long-term supply contract, we tailor grade, packing and shipping to your specification.
Who we areOur products
Gum arabic is our speciality. We also export a selection of Sudan's best-known crops, each cleaned, graded and packed for export.

Quality from tree to port
Every lot is sampled at intake, cleaned and sorted, graded by size and colour, and tested before it is packed. Storage and loading are checked too, because quality can be lost after processing.
Buyers can appoint any international inspection company to verify quantity and quality before shipment.
Our processWhere our gum grows
Gum arabic comes from the Sahel's gum belt, which stretches across Africa and reaches its richest stands in Sudan. Hashab is tapped from Acacia senegal; Talha forms naturally on Acacia seyal. Both travel from the belt to Port Sudan on the Red Sea for export.
- Hashab (Acacia senegal): the premium gum of Kordofan
- Talha (Acacia seyal): harvested across the central and eastern belt
- Loaded at Port Sudan (SDPZU) on the Red Sea
