Sudan is one of the world's leading sesame exporters. Grown mainly in the rain-fed plains of Gedaref, Sennar and Kordofan, Sudanese sesame is valued for its high oil content and clean taste.

Shipping & export
A full container is normally ready to load 10 to 15 days after the contract is confirmed. Transit from Port Sudan takes about 2 to 8 weeks, depending on the destination port.
